If you are going to have an email address on your website, make sure it goes to someone.

If you are going to have a chatbot on your website, make sure it makes connecting the person to someone in your company as quickly as possible.

If you’re going to have a social media presence, setup an internal SLA (Service Level Agreement) for when it can and should be actioned.

If you have a phone number, make sure someone is there to pick the call and answer it.

Redundancy in all of the above communication mediums are important so nothing falls through the cracks. The last thing you want to find is a message from three weeks ago from a customer that wanted to buy your product and all they wanted was a call back but it accidentally went to your junk mail.

And if none or all or some of these communication options are not your preference, remove them, no one said you had to had them all.

Pick what works, but commit to being the best at it.
