I thought this was funny the first time I heard it.

But in the first few minutes you realize the benefits of it.

Do one thing that needs to be done and can be done simply enough. If during the day you accomplish nothing else, you will have accomplished this.

Start small.

Focus on that one thing.

Accomplish it.

Move onto the next.

Nothing else happens before you do that one thing.

This is harder than it looks.

Trying to introduce a morning routine before you leave the house, before you go into work is fraught with many questions and concerns.

The weather is bad today, I have to leave earlier than normal, no time to do my one thing.

The kids were up late last night, I’m too tired to do that one thing.

But when done, when held to that standard for the next 30, 60 or 90 days. It no longer becomes a “thing to do” it becomes part of the daily routine before you leave the house.
