Move Your Bus

Years ago, when I was flying a lot, I found myself reading on planes and in terminals quite a bit. While perusing the selections one day I saw this book and found the title to be pretty interesting. Up until that point in my career, the only bus I had ever encountered was the proverbial one where you either run over by it OR the one where you ran scenarios against people that key to your team. Snow Days

What is it about a Snow Day that makes us go crazy with relief? Everything we had planned suddenly shifts beneath us and the day seems filled with possibilities? We become rejuvenated (even if we go back to bed) mentally as though nothing can stop us, hold us back or push us down. We feel invincible and now everything that seemed out of reach is now within it. And all becomes of some nice-looking precipitation? It’s the Standard

So the standard, that hasn’t changed in the past ten years, hasn’t been updated and/or improved upon is the Standard? The standard that we have built countless workarounds, around everything that we do and has added workload to all that we do? Standards are great, only if they evolve.
