That’s our goal. That’s what I heard our goal was – “Just Above the Bare Minimum.” If there was a place not to set the bar, that was it, because it’s so low, you can step right over it. Be better than the Bare Minimum… or just above it.

Brainstorms are about ideas. They are about getting people into a room, or on a call, and batting around ideas back and forth – whether they are good or bad – it doesn’t matter. It’s about nothing more than the ideas in a room. And the moment you start to shut them down, all that energy goes out the door. And you’re left with the worst ideas.

The last month I’ve been blocked on lots of writing, missed a few days, and wondered if I should go back to it. Some days I have phoned it in and dragged myself to do it. My back bank (all the work in the queue behind it) has definitely been a lifesaver, but now it’s time to get back in there. This reminds me of code that I don’t want to go back to and sometimes I just stare at hoping it will write it stuff. Nothing writes itself.
