Not a Hike. Not a Jump. Take a Leap, take a chance, do the thing that you’re not sure if you should do, and go for it. Any way you slice it, you always win with a Leap – you learn, you grow, you fall down, you pick yourself up, and you go again. If you haven’t taken a leap lately, maybe that’s what’s really bugging you.

It might get worse before it gets better. But it always gets better. Maybe not back to where you were before, but better than where you are now. But only if you’re willing to work on the problem, only if you’re willing to dig deep. It can get better, but it’s on you to put in the effort to get it there.

My authenticator app is overflowing with sites – everyone wants a code for me to log in with now. Do they need the code? I don’t know. But now that one does it, they all do it. I am using different codes for different apps. We’re not solving the problem of authentication; we’re simply duplicating it across every piece of infrastructure we now touch.

Coaches provide direction, suggestions, mentoring, and guidance on how a problem can be solved. Leaders are the first to accept the words of the coach and work with the team, side by side, to implement what needs to be done. Sometimes one and the same, generally two, one sees things from outside of the team, one sees things from inside of the team. Both need each other to be successful. As soon as the coach and the leader understand that relationship, they are unstoppable.

You’re now a team until someone else jumps in. There are no teams of one, because it’s just you. When two people start doing things together, you have a start. When three people start talking through problems, you have a base. And when four people start moving in the same direction, you have an emergence. That’s a team.
