Hurdles on Hurdles

They don’t do Hurdles on Hills. Probably because it would be insanely difficult. No one would ever think to try it. You would probably get hurt more often than not. But if you did do it, you would probably develop muscles you never knew you had to propel yourself further up the hill, against gravity past the hill.  You would probably need to be more aware of your surroundings when pushing up and you would most likely need to pull in your legs much closer when you leap. Growth Training

The implicit goal behind any training is growth. It can mask itself in a job, in a game, or in the final outcome of a hobby. But it’s everything before that, which is growing and which matters to those big moments. And yes, training is hard, that’s because you can’t always see the end while you’re doing it. That’s why it’s called training.

You’re Avoiding This

Seriously, you are. The work you know has to be done, the work that is getting closer and closer to being needed, you’re avoiding it. Fortunately, the options for what you should do with it next are pretty simple; Don’t do it, but instead of avoiding it, tell people you aren’t going to do it so they can plan for that work. Keep doing what you are doing and deal with the fallout when it comes. Stop what you are doing, put on a timer, focus on it for 30 minutes, and just get started. Note: #3 has the potential

The Actions You Lead With

You can say all the words you want. Send all the emails. Attend all the meetings. But what matters when all of that is said and done, is what actions you take. It’s the actions that people will always remember you for.
