Of course.

Whether you’re an architect, lead developer, senior developer or anything else that focuses more on the technical solutions where you have no direct reports it’s not an optional skill, it’s a requirement.

You take the lead in the architecture, the design,the creation – but also in the selling of that vision to your team, in the education of the team in how to use a component, in the deployment of that code to your customer.

Good leaders wait to be told, Great leaders jump in and do it without being asked. You’re always leading, whether you know it or not.

Don’t ask, do.
