The Bumps Make us Stronger

The hits we take. The failures we go through. The roadblocks we run into. The walls we crash into. The jobs we don’t get. The presentations that don’t work. The lessons that fail. They make us stronger, but only if we let them. If we don’t, they simply make us angrier (which is the opposite of where we want to go).

The Long Road Back

If I can, I will take the long road back after a customer trip. The whole, hassle to get there, rush, rush with barely a moment to catch our breaths does nothing for me. Case Resolution Gone Wrong

I had a support call with a company awhile back that did not go very well. We spent over an hour mindlessly clicking everywhere that eventually got us closer to nowhere. At the end of the call, the agent wanted me to leave him a review while I was watching (to which I politely declined). When I did leave feedback, I didn’t give him top marks to which his supervisor than called to ask why. He was nice, but it was a similar run around – I need to diagnose everything again to make sure no steps were missed (even
