The side stitch is a sharp pain in your abdomen that generally pops up when you’re running.
And it hurts.
And the best way I have found to resolve it (and keep running) is to slow down but keep going. That period when you slow down is tough, especially if you’re in a race, because all you want to be doing is moving forward faster, and you can’t, you need to accept the slower pace.
And then, if you’ve done that, it goes away, and you can speed up again.
Everything is fast-paced right now, but it doesn’t mean it’s always good.
(I also find lowering my arms at my sides helps significantly when I have a stitch).
