If you’re using AI to help run your team, you’re missing out on the best part of working with a team: being in the trenches with them.
I’ve never been able to lead a team and not do coding with them; I can’t do it. This doesn’t mean I’m in there coding 24/7, but if I can take a few bugs off the team’s plate or figure out what some investigation issues, I will gladly do that work.
Sometimes it comes in peaks and valleys, but not being in the trenches with the team, it just doesn’t feel like leading.
And at a time when we’re becoming more and more disconnected, it’s a great way to ensure you are connected with your team, every day.
