Too Many Tickets is Not the Problem

Knowing what the tickets are and having to manage them? That’s always been the problem. If I could have my perfect dev system. Each week (or even day), it would leave a comment in a ticket why I did not work on something or what I did thinking about it. But no effort from me, just knowledge transfer – I thought and designed something here for an hour, I didn’t get to it because I had these other 5 things to do.

Unfurling the Sails

When sailors of old (very old) would get a sense of an oncoming wind, they would unfurl the sails to take advantage of each and every breath of wind that could push them as far as they could go. Then, when the wind died down, they would roll them up, rest, and wait for the next big wind to come along. You can’t unfurl your sails all the time, but you can choose when exactly is the right moment to get the most out of them. Rest, Go Big, Rest again, Go Big again.
