Leadership Erosion

If left unchanged, everything erodes. The clearest examples being rocks by the ocean, over time, the water will wash them away, tearing away little bits at a time until there is nothing left. The same thing can happen with your Leadership is you never change it, never protect the base, never take steps to make it better or stronger. Over time, it gets old, used, the same techniques don’t work as well as they used to. Worst yet, it comes across as laziness, apathetic, disinterested, disengaged, all of it and what is left? Nothing, it’s eroded. Keep your leadership game

You always Deserver to be There

No matter how good others around you might seem, you deserve to be there. No matter how much better everyone’s “game” is, you deserve to be there. No matter how complicated the new process is, you deserve to be there. No matter how much smarter everyone around you is, you deserve to be there. No matter how much everyone makes it look easy and you have to work twice as hard to keep up, you deserve to be there. You deserve to be there, otherwise they wouldn’t have asked you to be there in the first place.

You can Catch Up, But Can You Lead

When we know the goal, know the measure, know what or who we are being compared against, our game changes and we will eventually figure out a way to rise to the challenge. To catch up to those in front of us and get to the level we need to be at. But can you lead? Can you surpass the measure and do something more? The New Lazy – Pick a Time

I used to have a calendaring system where I would push out my calendar to potential clients and let them pick when they wanted to meet. “It’s easy, pick a time, it’s at your convenience, reach out to me.” And it is, there are great tools out there for this, Calendly is what I used and it’s a fantastic tool, great integrations, slick UI – it’s perfect. Here is where we have become lazy – we take this single, unique message that has intent to do good and we replicate it across 100, 500, 1,000 people and it becomes lazy.
