I’ve been using a training site to download training videos for a number of years. The prices are pretty good and the content that the creators put out is fantastic.
I’m happy to pay the price for it.
However, I recently noticed that some of these prices had changed substantially. I mean 80% substantially and couldn’t figure it out. I went onto reddit and found that new users received a significant discount and/or there were randomly modulated price changes (to reduce the price by 80%).
It’s too bad that users of 3+ years who have a proven purchase history aren’t entitled to this 80% discount.
I also wonder if existing creators would rather a steady flow of income vs a quarterly end push based on manufactured discounts.
