Some Random Thoughts on the Election Process

There are a number of elections going on around the globe right now all at different stages of completion; electing a party candidate, debates, campaigning, closing in on election day, etc. Last night I was on a ZOOM call with some past cohorts from my altMBA (January class accepting applicants now) and they suggested I write about my thoughts on elections and all.  So with little knowledge of the election process and all that goes on behind that machine, here are my thoughts. Ignore the Stats

Every morning, I come in, sit down and check stats, analytics, bounce rates, time spent on sites, etc? Why? Validation?  Hubris?  Conversion Rates? Does it matter if it was anything those things? And if they had never struggled, they would have been fine, cool breeze in their hair chilling in the safety in all that they are and all that is around them. Oblivious

What do we really mean by multi-tasking?

Multitasking is one of those buzzwords that never goes out of style – “oh look at him work on two projects at the same time, he is a great multi-tasker” – even though it is completely impossible to actually work on two tangible projects at the same time (unless of course you have your right hand coding on one and your left hand updating reports on the other.) So if not simultaneous project development, then what is it? Without looking in a dictionary, it’s the ability to handle multiple requests at the same time from a variety of sources, prioritize those items,
