Got asked this topic a few months ago – “What’s your Topic?” I stared at a blank space for a bit and thought about this very direct question – what is it and what did I want it to be? Was I happy with what it was? Was that going to be ambitious enough? I wrote down some ideas and posted them – now I wonder if they are still the same. But it’s a good question to ask ourselves – what’s your topic? What are you striving for?

I need to remind myself of this sometimes because I often forget when staring at the problem on the screen not sure how I will ever figure it out. And then I do, and it’s euphoric. I Can Code Anything.

The first step in anything is yours to take. It’s yours because you know what the first step is and if you don’t take it, you’ll wish you had. No one said it was going to be an easy step to take. But you’ll make it worth it and never look back.

I have notebooks, probably too many of them, but I have lots. And I have a laptop. I write as much as I can, wherever I can. Sometimes it’s garbage (actually a good part of the time). Sometimes it’s great (I have my moments). But it’s always a great feeling when I do. It’s a cathartic release and worth every sometimes painful keystroke.
