If you’re waiting to see how you are doing based on the results of your next review, you’ve already lost. You know how you are doing. You know what you need to work on. You know what your strengths are. Performance Reviews are a confirmation of what you should already know. So go fix what you know you need to work on.

You gather a foundation when you learn by reading, watching, assimilating, asking questions, and comprehending – that is foundational learning. But real learning?  Real understanding? You learn by doing. If you’re not doing, you’re not learning.

I never put “Focus Time” into my calendar but it’s now such a thing that we see it all the time in everyone’s calendar.
