It’s not your employer’s responsibility to shape your career, you can move from role to role and job to job and establish yourself as someone that can accomplish things, get the job down and make it happen.

They can provide you with training.

They can provide you with opportunities.

They can provide you with suggested.

But at the end of the day, they cannot shape the course and direction of your career – only you can do that.

Building a career, defining a career, it’s not a given, it’s a job and it takes work, sometimes extra, to make it happen.
