That’s the word these days – the hustle – it was shipping for a while, creating, leaping, leaning – but today the word is hustle.

What is the hustle?

It’s about not waiting for something to happen, it’s about going out to make it happen.

Take for example Social Media, you have 10 followers now, you want to get 10,000, how are you going to do that?

No matter how good your content is if no one can find it (or you for that matter) it won’t matter, so you hustle.  You got out there and you introduce yourself, you read other people’s work and you give back.

I think that is the part of the Hustle that is missing, it’s not all about getting X followers in Y period of time or taking every opportunity that comes your way, it’s about giving back, giving due and earning your way.

So then what is the Monster Hustle?

It’s not about waiting for something to happen, it’s about reaching out to people you know, people you don’t know and engaging in a personal, authentic way that conveys the message and brand you are trying to create.  The monster part is that you never stop and even when the chips are down, you keep pushing.

We’re all Monster Hustlers – we all simply don’t know it yet.
