The Late, Late Doctor

I had an experience with a Doctor a few months back where they were late to my appointment. No biggie, I planned for it, really I wasn’t bothered.  With no Wifi, it gave me ample opportunity to catch up on the missed issues of Canadian Living from 1995. But when the appointment started, I could see he had no idea why I was there.  He kept repeating, “I’ve read your chart, but I’m reviewing it again”.  The first time was fine but the 5th or 6th was an excuse. You can fool your customer once, maybe twice with reasons for

The Last Minute Adventure

It used to be that you if you wanted to go see the latest release of a particular movie you would have to wait in line. (I did this once) And if you got there and there were no tickets, you had to figure out what you were going to do as you waited for the next show to start. The Juggling Experiment

I’ve been wanting to learn to juggle forever, not chainsaws, just basic juggling. Three objects, not four or five. More importantly, I wanted to know how long it would take to from zero to 100. 0 being “I can’t juggle 3 balls”. 100 being “I can juggle 3 balls” Before getting started, I estimated it would take me a solid 12 hours to learn. I used this site as my guide – https://www.wikihow.com/Juggle – printed it, and put it beside my workspace. Here are the results and the time it took. PS – I put this off for a long time, I

When the Losses are Mounting

I’m big on not giving up on achieving your end goal. If it’s something you want, figure it out, keep trying, but don’t give up, especially when you get discouraged. But switch up your gameplan, don’t keep executing the same gameplan day after day after day after day after day. Tweak each part of your plan a bit, so you can measure success, see what worked and what didn’t and take it from there. That’s what’s matters, are you willing to shake things up when the losses are mounting. That’s growth, that’s change, that’s the ability to flip a problem

Breaking Down the Noise

The problem with eliminating noise is that you then have solitude which results in a vacuum where more noise can originate from. So now you are in this cycle of emptying the noise and refilling it, emptying the noise and refilling it. Maybe the problem isn’t one of eliminating the noise but rather finding out what noise is good and finding a way to make it work. Maybe what you should be doing is finding a way to Break it Down and find a way to use it.
