In the interview, I talk about the decision I made early on with Code Your Way Up in where to focus my energies and who I wanted to reach with the book. From the beginning I had two clear audiences in mind;
- Developers starting out on this crazy journey – in school, learning coding, first job. I took this as talking to myself when I was there.
- Developers struggling with the transition to leading teams – just promoted, just had your first setback, trying to figure things out. Again, I used myself as the initial audience when I made this transition.
