It doesn’t matter what your role is – developer, product manager, QA, business analyst, tester, leader, manager – the question is still and always will be the same.

What can I do for my Team?

When it’s all hands on deck and everyone is trying to get a release out the door, it might be something as simple as ordering the takeout (been there).

When we’re knee deep in a design session on a customer problem that is going nuclear on us, it could be as simple as pushing out that update meeting.

When we’re trying to write requirements while build code, it might be diving into the user stories to clean up the finer details.

All these things can be done by any member of the team without ever having to ask the question – “What can I do for my Team?” – but instead just doing it.

And that’s what makes a team.
