Some considerations to think of when looking for a mentor;

  • They don’t have to be in your field of study.
  • They do need to call you out when you have done things wrong and push you to fix them.
  • They need to keep you on point.
  • They need to have time to work with you.
  • They are not there to do the work.
  • They need to have a plan to help you grow.
  • If they can’t help you they will redirect you to who can.
  • They won’t give up on you.

It’s not a complicated list, but that’s the list.
