This is one of those knives through the heart type of thing.

You have a team working towards a delivery, everyone has their piece that they are responsible for.

At the meeting to discuss where things are on the deliverable, the team clearly has a lot left to do and is working through how they are going to accomplish that.

You’ve just gone through all the issues when someone chimes in – “My part is done, so there is nothing left to do for me.”

When the team is struggling, there is always work left to do.

The team delivers the work.

No one is going to look at what is on the team’s plate and want to look at just your part, they want to see the whole, they want to see everything.

Deliver as a team.
