What matters most to you?

Is it how much you earn?

What do you do with those earnings?

How many pull requests you can handle in a day?

How many deployments do you do in a month?

How many people are on your team?

This list can go on and on forever, but what really matters is knowing what metrics matter to you the most.  If you sell software it’s either about users, subscriptions, warranties, monthly sign-ups, etc, etc.  Those are the metrics they need to stay in business and keep going.

The question is – what metrics do you need to keep going?  What metrics matter to you and how are you tracking against them?
