I stumbled across some very old books a few nights ago that related to the construction of houses.  It went deeper than books today have because the materials were different, whereas today there are myriad options of ways to build a house (and that which are still evolving), but when those books were written they were not.

But what they built was solid.

In building the future, it’s never a bad idea to consult the past and learn from the patterns of yesteryear that are still in place running much of the world today.

No one is saying go back and start using C, but rather take the pattern that built C and apply it to you own work.
