Graphs go up and down based on the numbers that fuel them.

They create trends in what has happened and what might happen next.

But they are not the story, they are the jump point for the story about the trends.

Why did it happen?

What changed in our usage?

What was going on at that time?

Trends are good, but only if we can explain them.
