I opened up Notion the other day and saw it had a new AI feature to it.

So I typed in the name of a story I was going to write to see what it would come up with.

It wasn’t half-bad, but it’s not what I was thinking about.  It was actually way off and completely generic.  I tried it again with a few more story titles and what came out was very generic as well – again it was okay.

I look at AI right now and compare it to the one great kid in art class who came up with all these kooky ideas and spurned everyone else to come up with even crazier ideas.  It was the jump point that made us up our collective game and all get better.

Maybe that’s where AI will succeed, being the jump point for us to beat it and get better.
