You never know when the timing is right, it just happens.

The more you practice, the better your timing gets (hence the same 1,000 kicks vs 1,000 different kicks).

Timing is about repetition practice and most importantly focus.  The more focused you are, the better you are at getting to your end goal (whatever that might be).

But without those things, the timing will never be right – because we never know when it actually is right.
