It’s not what it once was.

It’s a different experience now.

Before, theatres competed with 32″ tube screens, now they compete with 50″ screens with surround sound systems, that allow pausing of the film to get the best treat you can make for much less.

And yet, so much goes into building and creating these movies, that one that makes $50 million is considered a flop (even though it might be great).

The problem movies have is getting people there, once they are there, they will buy whatever snacks they want and stay as right to the last credit.
