The Role You Want at the Time you Don’t Want it – that’s what the title of this post was meant to be – but it was very wordy.

I’ve had that happen a number of times – you work hard for something, only not to get it, but then, when you least expect it, it comes back to you, and you aren’t sure why, but the timing’s off – you can accept it.

Roles come and go, sorry, the formality of those roles come and go, but in the end the roles are always there for us and you to do.

The work isn’t going anywhere, it’s always going to be there, waiting for you to do it.

You might not have the role now, but you can be doing the work that the role expects.

And in the case where the formality of the role comes at the worst possible time, this won’t be the last time they offer it to you, they know your value.

Because you’ve been doing it all along.
