You have tons of time. It’s how you are using your time that might not be what you’re fighting. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t relax and have fun. But it does mean you have a choice in what you do with your time. Don’t wait for people to give you your time; use it for yourself.

Why am I writing more code than I have in the past year? It’s not dead, it’s evolving. Every job goes through the same thing. Doctors use way more robotics now than they did 15 years ago. But they are still saving lives. A fundamental shift is happening in the world of technology, but you’re not dead, unless you choose to be.

You’ve got your work stuff to do. You’ve maybe got your personal stuff to do. You’ve maybe got some side hustle stuff to do. Don’t leave out the good stuff; the good stuff is what makes everything fun. Make time for the good stuff.

Now is not the time to not be asking questions. If you don’t, some AI or someone else will gladly gobble them and learn from them. This doesn’t mean you blurt out everything that comes into your head. But when you hear that voice saying – “Should I ask this?”. The answer will always be yes.

We’ve had copilots forever. They were called your team. But maybe you didn’t treat them as well as you do your agentic AI copilots. That’s not a technology problem. That’s a leadership problem. And AI will only be able to fix it for so long (or make it look like it’s fixing it).
