This was the phrase you heard growing up – “Get to the Big Leagues”.
The Big Leagues is where things are serious. When you get there, you will have arrived and this was in no way better mirrored than with sports teams.
Oddly enough, Sports teams are one of the last Bastions where a final endpoint exists, everywhere else, the role, the job, the task, the game is constantly changing and shifting.
Having to learn new skills to adapt, new skills to respond, learn new strategies in different areas.
And what you thought was the Big League, you might already be there or have passed it on your way to someone else.
Maybe you are the Big League.
