When you are coaching, mentoring, teaching or leading someone, the best moment is when it clicks. It’s the moment where all those hours, days, weeks, months and/or years of persistent effort, working side-by-side with one another finally pays off. Not with monetary gains, trophies, recognition, likes or posts. But with the acknowledgement that it finally “clicked”, it came together, it worked. And now you get to move onto something new. I didn’t know this had become a job that time was set aside and prioritized in order to accomplish. Nothing wrong with watching whatever but to place this on the same pedestal as a goal you want to achieve. Seems a little out of place. (Just don’t go blaming Netflix when things go sideways with what you really want to achieve).

When we stopped asking for it. Because it made us too uncomfortable. Too vulnerable. Confused. Frustrated. Unsure of ourselves. Apprehensive. These are all valid reasons to denying yourself. Or maybe they’re the launchpad you’ve been waiting for, but are too afraid to ask for.

When you are executing on Delivery, Drive, Initiative and Leadership, not timeboxed or componentized, but concurrently, each day, every day you grow. I have to be clear on this last point.  You will amaze people with your skillset and they will immediately want you to “keep doing what you are doing” or “focus in on this particular area”.   Whether it aligns to where you want to go and what you want to do is…
