Make it Fast

Because if it’s not fast, it’s not worthwhile. Because if it’s not fast, the customer won’t buy it. Because if it’s not fast, someone else’s will be. Because if it’s not fast, that means it’s not good. There are so many other ways to measure what you build for someone.  Performance is good, but it’s not the only metric. Don’t let your work be evaluated by one metric and make sure everyone knows all the others that are available.

Learn from Others

The best way to learn is to learn from others. Learn what they have done to become successful. Watch what they do (and stop talking about it). Don’t share the fact that you’re learning from them. Adventures are Better Than Vacations

Every year, we wait for the mythical months of summer to come around so we can finally have our vacation. False. The weather might be better (and the only one who can really say whether it is, is you) but you can take a vacation at any time. Turning off your phone – that’s a vacation. Taking a drive to the middle of nowhere and eating your lunch in solitude – that’s a vacation. Flying somewhere for the weekend where the weather meets your lofty standards – that’s a vacation. But better than any vacation, is an Adventure (and we
