Don’t Let Your Team Stop You

Who said you had to do everything your team is doing? Who said you always had to fall in line? Who said it’s our way or the high way? You might be on a great team or maybe a bad one – whichever it is, it doesn’t matter – all that does matter is that they never hold you back. Never push you down when you try to reach higher. Never give up on you. Never stop you from trying to make them or you better. Change is inevitable, all it needs is a driver.

The Uninitiated Requested Upgrade

Two instances today of upgrades that went sideways as of late. While running a critical program my desktop upgraded.  I had to dig into the settings to force it to notify me (the audacity) when it can decide to reboot. And restart my program again, losing 8 hours of work. This process could have been tweaked with a simple pop-up – “Hey, it looks like you’re doing some work, want us to wait?”. I have other ideas, but that’s the simplest (and they know work is going on, they built the programs). The second was a request to upgrade a

Get Yourself a Right-Hand Man

Or woman. Washington knew all about it (as did Hamilton). The tune is great, but the message is even better. You need someone at your side to help you get over the mountain. You need someone to keep you in multiple places at once when you can’t be. You need someone who can zig when you zag. You need someone to grow with you. You need someone to exceed you. Face it, you need a Right-Hand Man (or woman).

In the Mood to Create?
