Success comes from what the team can achieve. But the team is powered by individuals, who might be ON a team, but not part of it. The goal then becomes to make every individual part of the team, beyond simply being ON the team. Once they realize they are part of something bigger, the path to their own personal growth becomes aligned with what the team wants and can potentially achieve.
Everyone does, and we can hold it against them or we can remind them. But if they keep forgetting then it might be something else that you’re missing and so are they.
Writing new code is a great release for whatever is ailing you. It’s that moment when we go from having nothing to creating something that absolutely knocks our socks off. It can be 2 or it can 100 lines, but at the end of the day it is code and if it runs, you created something.
