The Coaching Toolbox

Whether it’s professional, recreational or personal we are all at some point in our lives coaches to other, helping those that work with us, look up to us or perhaps have even paid for our services – we are coaches – formal or informal. As coaches, we have the experience, we have the knowledge, we have the game play all wrapped up in our head.  We know the stats, we know what has worked and we know the drills. This is our toolbox. A word on Improving Meetings

Meetings are horrible, albeit necessary – you need to talk with people to resolve an issue, sometimes they are not always in front of you (in an airport, at home with sick kids, in the branch office, etc) and you need to nail someone down with the hopes of getting their undivided attention.  There are two problems I see today with meetings – Engagement and Attendance. And aren’t you worth the investment? So, like anything, I

My first week in the trenches of altMBA

So, now I am allowed to post about I am doing over the remaining 3 weeks.  About a month ago, I sent in an application to a program that I had never heard of called altMBA, extremely intrigued by what it is while having no idea what I was getting into.  I was accepted. And this past week I got my first glimpse of what it was all about. It goes a little like this – here is your group (cohort), here are your week’s assignments, here’s some deadlines to have your work done by, here’s a little guidance – show us what you
