It’s Rally Time

We rally when we’re down, when we’re weak, when we’re feeling kicked so hard that we can’t get up. We look for that “other” gear but can’t find it (where is it? No one knows?) And then you find it. You find it in the weirdest of places. It might be that bug that you’ve been holding onto, the two of you starting at each other from across your keyboard. Project Fatigue

It always sets in mid-way through a project. You look at the work you’ve done, you look at the work you have to do and you wonder whether you have it in you to get. It’s not easy, it was never meant to be easy, and for the faint of heart, they throw in the towel or move onto something different. But not you. You won’t give up. You won’t throw in the towel. You won’t move onto something else after the first beta goes out the door. You’ll pick up your gear and keep going, keep leading, keep inspiring.

Developer to Manager

I recently took part in an interview for the newsletter – Developer to Manager. I have been subscribing to it for a while and love the content and format that gets put out for this blog. The format is really interesting and if you’re looking to get started in Managing and Leading Software teams, it’s a great place to start to not only see what your fellow peers are doing but gain some insight from their lessons learned. My interview is here.
