If you want to bring your list bug list down, start cracking.

When they are assigned to you, they are on you to work on, you to identify, and you to close.

You can leave the list there and ignore it, or you can do what everyone is waiting for you to do.

Start closing bugs.

It’s not flashy, it’s not the greatest work, but the people depending on that work being done, will definitely appreciate it and that should be enough for you to slog through it and make it happen.
