Manage Your Own Drive

I don’t know when we started expecting to have training provided by people and organizations for us. It’s a bonus, it’s a great bonus, but at the end of the day, their investment in your career is partially dictated by the needs that they have for their organization. Don’t be confused with thinking your employer is your trainer, what training, what plans, what everything you want to achieve is up to you. It’s not their job to ensure you hit your goals… it’s still yours.

What’s your End game?

Your end goal. Your final destination. The point of it all. Where you want to go. What you want to achieve. All of it. What’s your end game? It’s completely normal not to know what your end game is.  It’s another matter altogether to complain that you’re not achieving your end game when you don’t even know what it is, to begin with.

What do I have to do to get Better?

People ask this question all the time. What their real question is – “How do I get better than everyone else quicker?” Sure, there probably is. Maybe you could stay up late and put in a lot of extra hours, spend more time at the gym then you normally do find some lifehacks here and there. But you know all that and you know all that better than anyone else. The real question you need to be asking yourself is – “Why am not trying to get better?”. Now that’s the starting point.
