Can I Script it?

If I can’t, I’m not interested. Because whatever you have built, whatever you have created, no matter how good the GUI is, one day I’m going to want to automate it. And if I can’t automate it, I’m going to throw it against the wall in disgust because now I know in the back of my head that I will always have to fire up your app and stare at this gorgeous GUI taking up my time as I wait for it to finish its task. Make it Authentic

Whether it’s the new connection you are reaching out to. The social media post to your customers. The interview you are sitting in. The request for more resources. The push for more experiments. Whatever the ask is. Trim the superficial from it altogether, boil it down to what you are trying to achieve, start there and keep it as authentic as possible. It might be as simple as – “I need help…”. Now you’re getting somewhere.

Drive

I prefer the use of drive over passion.  I find that passion is a great word to define your interest in something as in – “I am passionate about Internet Of Things devices.  I’ve bought a kit, played with it, I’ve even built a small little application – this has been fun.” I’ve shown my passion for IoT.
