The Giveback

Last week I was reflecting on all the amazing topics and conversations we have had over with Remotely Prepared and all the great (and appreciative) feedback I have had on Code Your Way Up. To say that it has been easy launching both before and during a pandemic would be an understatement. Through that, I have found the “real work” to occur after what I look back on as the “fun work” which is the building of the product – the podcast, the book. The Power Outage

The only way to keep going in a power outage is to have a generator waiting behind the scenes ready to go when you lose all connectivity. Except it’s possible to maintain complete connectivity in an outage, regardless of batteries or UPS. Eventually the internet will drop, eventually you’ll have moment to power down all of your devices gracefully and eventually it will be just you and the pen. What are you going to do when you can’t connect to anything? What will consume? What will you do?

Finding the Time

Everyone is busy working on everything that they are doing. You’re busy trying to keep your head above water. That list of things you want to accomplish isn’t getting any shorter. So now, is the perfect time to prioritize what you need to do and get it done. When are you at your best to get things done? Great, schedule that work to happen there and no where else – that is when you are at your best. Does this mean you might sign on 15 – 30 minutes later for work?
